The woman in the full-face

A group of four cats sitting together on a sofa with patterned upholstery, facing forward.
A mountain biker wearing a helmet and goggles navigating a dirt trail with mud and rocks, marked by blue and yellow Motorex tape, surrounded by green plants and purple flowers.

Mandy Pitscher is a Test Engineer on SRAM's drivetrain development team, focusing on mountain bike cassettes. She has a background in mechatronics, with a bachelor's degree in the field and a master's in mechanical engineering. Mandy spent nine years in a conservative machine-building company, beginning as an apprentice and later working as an engineer. She discovered her passion for bikes later in life, entering the sport at 26, and became a “pandemic biker” during COVID. In 2021, she transitioned to the bike industry to work on products she truly cares about.

Mandy has 13 years of engineering experience and has been with SRAM for over three years. She is passionate about creating an inclusive environment where people are valued, listened to, and free of bias. A strong advocate for supporting women in the workplace, she notes the lack of female leadership in her field and is dedicated to fostering change.
